I want to say first that Kenny Chesney is one of the true gentlemen in country music. He makes sure his fans always get their money's worth. Last night he delivered again for the 1077 'GNA faithful. I got to spend some time with him before the show as well.Kenny Chesney walked into the room and was happy to see his friends in country radio and just wanted to talk to us about shows from the past, and thank all of you for supporting his great music that we've played for you over the years. I told him that the first show I ever promoted with him was in 1994 at the Glens Falls Civic Center when he was the opening act on the George Jones and Tammy Wynette Reunion tour. Nobody knew who he was back then. Kenny then split for his meet and greet with all of his fans, and then it was showtime after the Eli Young Band rocked the crowd to get them warmed up.

Kenny's current hit is the song "Pirate Flag" and the official logo for the "No Shoes Nation" Tour is the skull and crossbones. I had a authentic tour Pirate Flag that his label had shipped to me before the show and I brought along with me. We were up in the Sandbar right by the stage and as Kenny sang the song I started waving the Pirate Flag. He saw me, and came over and asked me to give it to him and he started running around the stage singing the song and waving my Pirate Flag. Then he ran back over and tossed it back to me and didn't miss a beat. that was just too freaking cool! He's the man. I can't wait to see him again in Foxboro.
