Job Interviews and Non-Verbal Pitfalls

There are lots of people looking for full time work right now as I write this blog. I wish you all the best of luck out there. Here are some tips about non-verbal communication problems that could cost you a job in an interview situation.

Always be sure that your posture is confident, and that you are sitting straight up in an interview.

If a handshake is part of the introduction process be firm, not limp and make eye contact with the interviewer when you shake their hand.  Make sure you sit still and try not to fidget.

Your eyes are a big part of the equation with your interviewer. Don't look down when answering questions.

These are a few I know and actually use in the interview process here at the radio stations that are pretty standard no matter what type of work you are looking for.
