Western New Yorker Wins Second-Place Prize in Powerball; Grand Prize Unclaimed
A story from New York Upstate informed us of a second-place prize winner from Saturday's New York Lottery. The ticket was sold at a Sunoco gas station on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo, according to the report.
The numbers pulled on Saturday were 25-38-42-66-67, Powerball: 19, Power Play: 4X, and the winner in New York walked away with a cool $1 million prize.
This was one of two second-place prize winners on Saturday, as another winning ticket was sold in North Carolina, according to the report. No grand prize winners were announced, however, and as such, the Powerball total continues to rise.
The estimated grand prize total as of today, September 6th, is $461 million. Drawings take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and no major prize winners were announced after the drawing on Labor Day, September 4th.
The next drawing will be today (September 6th, if you're reading it on the day of publication), so there's a chance we see someone claim the nearly $500 million in prize money in the next 24 hours!
