For the first time in franchise history, the Albany FireWolves are hosting a playoff game at MVP Arena.

The FireWolves locked up the No. 3 seed in the 2024 NLL Playoffs, thanks to a convincing road victory against the New York Riptide last weekend. Albany finished the regular season with a record of 11-7, setting a franchise record for wins during the regular season.

The rise of the FireWolves has been something to behold this season, as the franchise finished with a record of 3-15 just one season ago. The team brought in a handful of new players this season, including first round draft picks Alex Simmons and Tye Kurtz, and the group hit the ground running immediately, winning their first six games earlier this year.

Now, Albany is set to face off against Halifax on Sunday at 3PM at MVP Arena. A win for Albany sends them to a best-of-three semifinal series, while a loss ends their season.
