Filming is underway at a local historic home that is being restored on a new HGTV show.

If you do any sort of home improvement projects you probably love all the restoration and home specials features on HGTV. Next spring they are set to launch a new show which will feature a home right here in the Capital Region.

"Who's Afraid Of A Cheap Old House?" Filming In Menands

According to a Times Union story, the home above located at 21 North Lyons Avenue in Menands will be featured on the new HGTV show called "Who's Afraid Of A Cheap Old House?" The Times Union says the new show "...will follow hopeful homeowners through the journey of purchasing, preserving and restoring historic properties" and that HGTV is also taking applications for other homes within 90 minutes of Saratoga Springs to feature on the new restoration show.

This is not the first time a local historic building has been feature on the show - check out the Greenwich schoolhouse below that was transformed into a vacation rental on the HGTV show "Cheap Old Houses."
