Brian’s & Chrissy’s Sons Love These Epically Delicious Turkey Meals

During the week it's go, GO, GO!  Trying to whip up a quick, tasty, nutritious meal after a long day can be hard. But, we recently got to try some products from The Great American Turkey Co. that now are available at Price Chopper in Albany and the Capital Region.

They are perfect for busy parents! Their fresh turkey cutlets and strips come in 12-ounce packages and pan-ready portions, already marinated in great flavors such as Olive Oil & Herbs, Smoky & Sweet Chili and Tomato & Basil, and more. They also have delicious turkey sausage flavors including Apple Maple, Cheddar and Beer, Smoked Mozzarella and Broccoli Rabe, and more. Their products are developed by James Beard Award-winning chefs and “Hall of Famers."

In Chrissy's house, her 7-year-old (almost 8!) Ryan loves to help cook and they often are looking for turkey options as a healthier alternative to red meat. All Great American Turkey Co. products come raw, but their ready-to-cook portions make it easy for younger chefs to take the lead in the kitchen.

Chrissy and Ryan made the Apple and Maple Turkey Sausages together and he loved the flavor. He "gobbled" them all up.

Over at Brian's house, his 3.5-year-old son, Brody, is a finicky eater, so he sometimes "sneaks in" new foods. He definitely tries not to cook separate meals for himself and his girlfriend than he does for Brody. It's extra time, extra dishes and extra food.

But it took Brian no time at all to brown up the marinated turkey strips. He tossed a little olive oil in a pan, added the Olive Oil and Herbs marinated turkey, browned it up for a total of maybe 4 minutes, and they were good to go.

The adults used the turkey as tasty protein in big salads, while Brody ate the strips all by themselves along with some mac-n-cheese and fresh fruit. It was a hit with the whole house!
