The governor today announced a two-week closure of all state schools in response to the coronavirus.

Capital Region-wide schools have been shut down for at least this week, and now statewide all schools will be closed for the next two weeks, according to a WNYT report.  Over 80% of the state's schools had already been closed, and the remainder must close starting on Wednesday.

Add this to bars and restaurants also being put a mandatory lockdown (restaurants CAN still offer take out and delivery) starting at 8 p.m. tonight, New York is pretty much putting all the stops to curb the spread of COVID-19.
