Free Weekly Concert Series In Troy To Feature Country, Rock, & More
Free weekly concerts will be returning to a well-known Troy location.
We have had non-stop concert announcements for shows all over Upstate New York that require you to purchase tickets, but maybe you are wondering about some freebies in the area. Ya know, the entertaining shows that are much kinder to your wallet without any of those crazy ticket fees!
Well, this spring Ryan's Wake in Troy will be putting on a free weekly concert series at a familiar destination right along the Hudson River.
Ryan's Wake Announces 'Wake Up Wedensdays' Free Concert Series
Ryan's Wake, one of our favorite local Irish Pubs on River Street in Troy, has announced they are bringing free live concerts to the location where the 'Rockin' On the River' series used to be held. According to Notes On Napkins, the spring and early summer series will be called 'Wake Up Wednesdays' and will feature shows every Wednesday from May 17th through June 21st at 5 pm. The stage will be located next to the Green Island Bridge which is right by the bar's rear deck area.
Notes on Napkins says the band lineup will feature country, rock, party music, and more from these great local bands:
- Wednesday, May 17th: Hair of the Dog (Celtic music)
- Wednesday, May 24th: The Accents (Party music)
- Wednesday, May 31st: Kyle Bourgault Band (Country)
- Wednesday, June 7th: The Squid's (80's Rock)
- Wednesday, June 14th: Tacht Masters NY (Yacht Rock!!)
- Wednesday, June 21st: Troy Music Review f/The Family Treet And More (Rock)
This should be the first of many free shows in the Capital Region in the months ahead. We expect our others concert series events like Alive at Five, the Empire State Plaza, and more to announce their lineups soon!
