Former First Lady Barbara Bush Dies at Age 92

After reports her condition had worsened earlier in the week, Barbara Bush, former First Lady and husband to President George H.W. Bush has passed away at the age of 92.

The Bush family released an official press release earlier this evening to share the sad news with the nation. We, along with the rest of the country, offer our deepest condolences to the Bush family for their loss.

Barbara Bush was a staunch advocate for childhood literacy and made it one of her lasting achievements from the time she spent as First Lady.

Funeral arrangements are being made and the family will announce them as soon as they have been finalized.
