Bronx Zoo Tiger Tests Positive For Coronavirus
A Bronx Zoo tiger is the first known animal in thes US to contract the coronavirus.
People Magazine is reporting that a 4 year old tiger at the Bronx Zoo is the first known animal in the United States to come down with the coronavirus. The tiger, named Nadia, was tested after a group of the cats developed a cough. People says an asymptomatic zookeeper infected Nadia and other than the cough, the tigers seem to be ok for the most part as they fight the virus.
There have been some reports of late the the virus could not infect domestic cats and dogs, and People does point out different animals will react differently to viruses like COVID-19.
