FedEx is alerting customers to ruse where scammers are posing as the delivery service in emails.

It wouldn't be the holiday season if someone wasn't trying to scam you out of your hard earned dollars. FedEx says  fake emails are being sent out to consumers where the sender is posing as FedEx. The emails come with the subject line "FedEx: Delivery Problems Notification."  and FedEx says '...they can contain links which, when clicked, will connect the user to a site which then infects their computer.' The emails will look something like this:

When it comes to avoiding this scam, the solution is simple. FedEx says they do '...not send unsolicited emails to customers requesting information regarding packages, invoices, account numbers, passwords or personal information.' So if you see one of these emails, don't click on it in any way. Just delete it and report the email to abuse@fedex.com.
