Albany Area Woman Charged With Drugs Downstate

A woman from the Albany area has a little more to worry about than paying for a traffic ticket. 29-year-old Amanda J. Rafferty from Wynantskill has been charged with a couple of felony counts of Third Degree Criminal Possession Of A Controlled Substance This happened after a traffic stop downstate in Ramapo, on the N.Y.S.Thruway.

In a story that I saw in the Times Union, N.Y.S. Troopers discovered that she allegedly had her driver’s license suspended. They also did a check of her vehicle and found more than some old French Fires under the seats. They saw a digital scale, some cocaine, a few partially burned marijuana cigarettes and a few grams of marijuana.
