But you’ve been stationed away from home, and you’re many miles away from your family and friends, making it a very lonely time.  I’m sure that there’s someone reading this and either they have a loved one in this situation, or maybe you have also been there.

Well, here’s what you can do to help ease the loneliness. The American Red Cross, 33 Everett Road in Albany is holding a card signing night event called ‘Holiday Mail For Heroes’, on Tuesday, December 3 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. This is your chance to brighten a service member’s day. Let them know that someone is thinking about them while they’re doing a very important job that we all appreciate.

If you need more information, you can find it the Red Cross website. If you can’t make it to the event on Tuesday and you would like to participate, you can mail a card or letter to Holiday Mail for Heroes, P.O. Box 5456, Capitol Heights, Md 20791-5456, no later than December 6.

Let’s make our country’s heroes holiday a little bit brighter.
