You "kids" might not be familiar with the term "vinyl".  They're those circular, groove filled discs that you would place on another round thing that turns at 33 1/3 or 45 revolutions per minute (look it up).  Well, actually you don't have to.  HBO is about to either school you or provide a great bit of nostalgia, depending upon age.

There's a fascinating new drama series debuting next year from HBO -"VINYL" coincidentally.  It's produced by an incredible team: Terence Winter,  Martin Scorsese and a person no stranger to vinyl, the legendary Mick Jagger!

Props also to the talented editing department, featuring the equally incredible Eric Lorenz. Eric's credits include his fabulous chopping skills on the award-winning "Boardwalk Empire".  (The fact that Eric is my niece's husband has nothing to do with the praises I am bestowing at the moment).

The cast includes Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Andrew Dice Clay, James Jagger (related? , I'm sure!) and more.

Here is the trailer. (PG, BTW)

Looks amazing, doesn't it?  If you've lived through that era it will bring back so many memories, but if not you will get more than a taste of what it was like. Can't wait.
