Upstate New York farther north than just the Capital Region can be quite serene on a winter morning. Are we home to one of the best winter towns?

Now obviously you aren't going to see a town like Albany, Schenectady or Troy make this list. The list provided by Times Union ranks the top 50 "Prettiest Winter Towns" across the country. I myself heard we have two of the towns in New York and thought, that's it? Think about it, much of the state is very rural and is probably very beautiful with a nice dusting of snow.

Sadly none of the towns in the Capital Region made the cut, but towns within driving distance did. Lake Placid and Seneca Falls. Also a whole lot of towns from Vermont made the list as well. With all of that said, in the facebook comments let us know, what is the best Capital Region winter town?
