The Clifton Park JC Penney store was hit four shoplifters, two days in a row.
The suspected shoplifters were arrested by New York State Police. The thefts occurred on August 22 and August 23.
On the first day, the alleged shoplifters that were arrested were 76-year-old Arlene Jackson from Watervliet and 45-year-old Nancy Benacquista from Schenectady. They were accused of stealing about $800 dollars of merchandise. Both women were charged with Petit Larceny. They’ll be back in Clifton Park Town Court at a later date.
On August 23, more than $1200 dollars worth of merchandise was stolen. Authorities arrested two more alleged shoplifters, both from Troy. 31-year-old Ronald Gamache and 27-year-old Felicia Rennick. They were charged with grand larceny. In the story that I saw on News 10 ABC, they both have another date at Clifton Park Town Court.
