This is sad news as a lover of all animals. We tend to focus on human loss when a fire hits, but a life is a life be it animal or human. An early Sunday morning blaze at Sunrise Farms in Catskill was tragic for the business as the barn was lost as well as 7,500 to 8,000 egg laying hens. The fire started around 2am and it took almost 4 hours to extinguish the blaze. More details on this story here.
