The Hobbit An Unexpected Journey And Other Hobbit Movies Release Dates [VIDEO]

Ok so the movie I was starting to think would never be made is now being made into three movies. We now know the release dates for all three films.

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" is the first and will be out in time for Christmas so expect plenty of dolls... I mean action figures for the geeks on your list.

First film is out on December 14th, 2012

Second movie is called "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" which comes out December 13th 2013

The third and final installment of The Hobbit trilogy is "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" July 18th, 2014.

If these are done as well as "The Lord Of the Rings" trilogy which I have no reason to believe otherwise, all three should be great. Peter Jackson went to war to protect his vision of this story so his reputation is on the line. I admit my inner geek is chomping at the bit.
