Fireworks and sparklers are a popular thing at least twice a year, July 4th and on around New Year. Now one town is saying no more.

It seems lately that if you live in the Capital Region and win the lottery it's usually a Take 5 drawing. Now it seems that someone got a piece of the Powerball jackpot winning fifty thousand dollars. The ticket was sold at a Cumberland Farms convenience store in Warren County.

I have always said that we should leave the fireworks up to the professionals. Now many Warren County residents are hoping that officials will feel the same way. They are hoping to ban the sale of personal fireworks throughout the county.

This happened to a family while vacationing recently in Warren County. I don't know that it cut their vacation short, but it surely had them rattled for a while.

Social distancing restrictions have led to the announcement that Six Flags Great Escape will delay its opening for the season. The theme park has also been assisting the community in many ways during the pandemic.

It seems as if each year, Great Escape adds a new ride to outdo themselves and after some discussions with the planning board, they may be doing it again in 2020.
