Country Idol 2013 at Vapor in Saratoga Casino and Raceway continues it's search for star that will walk away with $5,000!
Richie Phillips and I had a blast preparing an annual New Year's Eve Celebration. Together we share a passion for entertaining and enjoy watching people sing and dance to any style of music. Together, with my love of Country Music and Richie's talent to play any style of music, we have created what we feel is the ultimate variety party for New Year's Eve at the Albany Marriott on Wolf Road.
i started writing these little year end summary songs my very first year in radio (1988). They take a long time to put together, trust me. I want to cram in as much as I can into a 2 minute ditty. And this year I'm going to perform it LIVE (gulp)
I'm excited about this New Year's Eve. Part of this very cool upcoming event will be a good old fashioned piano sing-a-long. And look who'll be doing the singing with me!
Someone slap me. I'm still not sure if I dreamt this entire thing or not. I couldn't sleep for two nights before this happened and for two nights afterwards. Everyone tells me that it actually happened, so I'll have to believe you. Here's a short slice of it
Don't call it being cranky or a complainer. It's just that I've probably been to every type of New Year's Eve party under the sun. I'll give you my list of the least favorite types of "get togethers" and then I'll ask you for yours
I'm excited to be pairing with Richie Phillips, of the Sean and Richie Show, for a big Rockin' Country New Years Eve Party at the Wolf Road Marriott in Colonie.
This was a major thrill. I've done little things here and there over the years, but there was so much of a time constraint in the past for local acts that it really was difficult. That's what I loved about this year's Countryfest the most - it gave a lot of Capital Region artists the chance to show their wares, and the Lost Cantina Band was nice enough to let me do the same.
That's a decent estimate of when this was taken. It was 30 years and 5,000,000 hair follicles ago. Seems like only yesterday!
Out of all the rhyming I do in a given year, this little piece is always the most challenging, for some reason. What events do you include in a year end song?
