Kenny Rogers will come to the rescue of kids affected by Hurricane Sandy next week at his concert date in Englewood, NJ. Along with toymakers Fisher-Price and Mattel, the big-hearted singer has teamed with the Bergen Performing Arts Center and the Englewood Fire Department for a toy drive to collect Christmas toys for children in Bergen County, which was hit hard by the storm.

For many years, Kenny Rogers always seemed to make a stop in the Albany area for his annual Christmas and Hits tour.  Although no local venue booked the show for 2012, it's only a sleigh ride away.
