The suspect was also accused of stealing from another store where he allegedly helped himself to $40 dollars that was sitting on the counter at the Congress Street I-Run store. That incident happened on April 7 around 4 p.m.

Police charged 23-year-old Harold Thomas from Ballston Spa, and charged him with Petit Larceny and Burglary in the second degree. Because of the I-Run store incident, Thomas received the Petit Larceny charge. According to the story from News 10 ABC, both burglaries occurred when they were both open for business.

In the original story that was posted on April 15, a suspect went into the Saratoga Springs Ben & Jerry’s store, and took a look around after the assistant manager and store owner briefly left the shop, which left one person in the business. That’s when the suspect went into a stock room and got into a safe and stole the money.

On April 21, Thomas is due back in Saratoga Springs City Court. He was sent to the Saratoga County Jail after his arraignment on Thursday night.
