While in the past Sugarland has referenced that they would be alright with solo projects, a source is now claiming that for 2012, the duo will spend most of the year apart professionally.  Rumors are that Kristian Bush is working on a solo project at Mercury Records.  The duo is currently set on six 2012 calendar dates and have yet to officially confirm these alternate 2012 plans.

Toby Keith have a milestone of a year in 2011.  He was named Artist of the Decade at this month's American Country Awards on FOX.  His most recent album, Clancy's Tavern, debuted at No. 1 and also made the list on Amazon's 10 Best Country Albums of 2011.  His first single off the album, "Made In America" was No. 1 and is one of the fastest-rising songs of his career.  And of course, how can we forget "Red Solo Cup" and the viral sensation he created with that video.  Toby was also, once again, named the highest paid country musician by Forbes.

Lauren Alaina's new video, "Georgia Peaches" will debut tomorrow on CMT.  The premiere will go off at 8am as part of a 15-minute special.  Behind the scenes footage from the video shoot can also be caught as well as an interview with Lauren herself.  Lauren will be getting on the road, January 20th, for Jason Aldean's tour which will kickoff in Greenville, South Carolina.

Congratulations to Miranda Lambert are in order.  Her album, "Four the Record" achieved Gold status -- faster than any of her previous albums.  Her second single off the album, "Over You," has just been released.  The lyrics are very personal to her.  In case you didn't know the song was written by her and her husband, Blake Shelton, and is about Blake's brother who died when he was a teenager.  Miranda kicks off her tour next Thursday, January 12th along with Chris Young and Jerrod Niemann.
