Student Pays His Tuition in Dollar Bills In Protest
January 20, 2011 9:38 AM Nic Ramos wanted to make a point . I think he succeeded. To protest the price of college tuition, he stuffed a duffel bag full of DOLLAR BILLs and marched over to the bursar’s office with the stash.
According to his quote in the New York Times:
“I wanted to give the school a different way to look at tuition….” Here he is in person……
Isn’t that fantastic! As a parent currently paying in-state tuition but possibly getting ready to pay out of state tuition, I totally agree with ya, Nic! It’s absolutely absurd what they are charging–especially in light of this new study written in Wall Street Pit.com. To sum it up, students in the first 2 years of college show almost no gains in learning!!!
