State Police Cracking Down On Impaired Drivers Super Bowl Weekend
New York State Police will be out in full force this weekend!
New York State Police have announced they will be patrolling streets and highways this weekend cracking down on impaired drivers.
It’s Super Bowl weekend. Parties are planned and that means an increased chance of impaired drivers. New York State Police plan to use sobriety check points starting Saturday night through Sunday night. New York State Police will also increase street patrols in an effort to catch anyone drinking and driving.
This is not the first planned Super Bowl weekend DWI watch. Last year, this effort resulted in over 1,000 tickets and over 100 arrests.
Please be careful this weekend. If you choose to consume alcohol please call a cab or have a designated driver ready to take you home.
I can’t believe there are people who still get behind the wheel after drinking. We need to stop this! Let’s spread this message and keep our friends, family and law enforcement officers safe this weekend!
