I know.  I can't believe the headline myself.  To see it in print is even weirder, but it is true.  I guess when you're long standing nickname is "Rhymin'", it would make perfect sense to be picked for Dr. Seuss, but to work with Martina McBride?  LOL.  OMG. CTBFR. (can this be for real?)

If you have listened to the Sean and Richie show for any length of time, you know that there is no secret about my love for this lady's incredible talent.  I actually remember introducing her at the Starlight Music Theatre in Latham many years ago, and if I remember correctly, she was expecting.  All I could think of was "how the HELL does anyone sing with that intensity in GENERAL, no less being pregnant?".

I could go on and on here, but to sum up, I am going to read a selection from "How The  Grinch Stole Christmas".  (Wikipedia will give you the background)

I read, then MARTINA IS GOING TO SING - then I read some more, THEN SHE SINGS SOME MORE, etc etc.  At the end she sings with a full choir!  I'm still in shock over this

Here's a scene from the 2000 movie of the same name to get you all in the mood

This isn't the whole show, by the way.  It's called the Joy of Christmas and features her incredible voice singing all the incredible Christmas hits and more.

Please get your tickets. The show is on December 14th at the Palace Theatre in Albany.  I'm going to need the comfort of familiar faces (or at least familiar ears if you are listeners).

And by the way, if you hear the sound of a wood block at any time, that's not an instrument from the orchestra.  That's my knees knocking!
