I was flipping through the channels earlier today before heading to the radio station when i flipped on the channel G4. To my surprise, they were showing an episode of one of my favorite shows of all time, Quantum Leap.

For those of you who don't remember the show, it starred Scott Bakula as Sam Beckett, who was lost in time after taking part in a time travel experiment. He would take the place of other people and "put right what once went wrong". He was accompanied by Al, a hologram that only he could see who was played by Dean Stockwell.  It was such a great show because it combined so many elements like comedy, drama, action-adventure, science fiction and more. It was really a show everyone could enjoy.

It was also great because you would never know who Sam would "Leap" into.  In various episodes, Sam would take the place of a blind man, a woman, a 13 year old boy, a chimpanzee, Lee Harvey Oswald  and even Elvis.

I became a big fan of the show, so much that I even bought many of the novels that came out based on the show. Now I think I have to get myself the complete series on DVD. Hey the holdiays are here, anyone want to help me out with that???

I am certainly glad that G4 has decided to show this classic show in reruns once again, but that of course means even more time sitting in front of the television. It's bad enough I'm already a couch potato. When these channels start breaking out the classics, I'll be like Levack and never leave the couch!

About a year ago there was talk about a Quantum Leap Movie, but haven't heard anything about it since. But seeing that so many other TV shows have shown up on the big screen I will not be surprised if this one will too!
