It wasn't a real surprise to me to see the numbers move up a little after the holidays. According to the retail sales numbers for the Christmas season a majority of Americans were living fast and loose with their purse strings. That's a pretty good indicator that people are happy. Apparently none of them saw the gas prices, or were so overcome with holiday joy that they became blind to them. Here's the story for you to read for yourself.
