This would have happened sooner of course if it wasn’t for the NBA lockout. Mavericks Head Coach Rick Carlisle has ties to the Albany area playing on the Albany Patroons championship team in 1987. As the President was praising Carlisle’s career accomplishments he botched the name of our former basketball squad calling them the “Pantoons”.  Fast Forward to 5:40 to hear the botch.

How can you not know who the Albany Patroons are?? Phil Jackson and George Karl coached the team to championships,Both of whom had terrific careers in the NBA. Jackson of course winning multiple championships with the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. Come on Mr. President, do you homework!
