I'm trying to write this blog in the midst of packing for our trip to Turks and Caicos. I'm sure we will be sending back some really nice photos to promote this beautiful location. But in the meantime, I am pulling the rest of my hair out, because I hate packing. Here are my top packing pet peeves.

There are really only two.

1. Shlepping more than two things through an airport- have you ever walked through an airport dragging one suitcase with a carry-on over one shoulder and a briefcase carrying a laptop in your other hand?  No. I refuse this year. I will be jamming medicine, my hat and bathing suit right in my briefcase, damnit.

2. The stupid liquid rule for carry-ons. Here it is according to the TSA.gov:

3-1-1 for carry-ons. Liquids, gels, aerosols, creams and pastes must be 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less per container; must be in 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. The bag limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring.

So you're saying I have to go to the drug store and buy the airplane size version of stuff we already own? I guess I'll be leaving my favorite gels, aerosols and creams in the medicine cabinet then. Get ready for a very smelly, unkept flyer.

Ok, I'm done. I feel better now.  I have to finish packing now.  I hope we can show you how great Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa is so you will eventually come down.  We are also giving away trips!  Stay tuned to 'GNA to hear more!
