Summer is finally here and with more places opening, the largest water theme park in New York state is planning on opening this weekend according to their website. There will be protocols in place due to COVID-19 and here's what you need to know before you go. According to CBS 6 News, Enchanted Forest Water Safari hopes to open for the 2020 summer season this Saturday, June 27th. It is billed as the largest water theme park in New York state and the fourth largest in the United States according to its website.

New York state guidance has led the owners to the decision to be able to open the Enchanted Forest Water Safari in Old Forge this weekend. They are hoping it goes as planned. They had planned to have three brand new rides ready for this summer season but with the coronavirus pandemic, they had to halt construction. They do, however, hope to have those three new water rides open by mid-July.

There will be certain protocols for customers and employees of Enchanted Forest Water Safari. Guests will have to wear face masks while they are in the park with the exception of on the water slides and in the pools. Social distancing must be maintained at all times.

The water theme park will also require their employees to be screened for the coronavirus daily before they are allowed to work inside the park. Their employees will also have to wear face masks.

If you plan on heading to Old Forge to the Enchanted Forest Water Safari you must make a reservation in advance. You can do so by going to their website.
