Just after 2 a.m., a fire started at the Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School Field House. Luckily, fire crews arrived quickly and were able to have the fire under control in a half an hour.

According to Schenectady Police, it looks like the field house was broken into, and that fire was set intentionally.

The football team's equipment was destroyed in the fire.

The football team which is combined with students from Catholic Central in Troy, is slated to play their very first playoff game ever tomorrow.

And while Schenectady Police continue to search for those responsible, we want to do what we can to try and help.

Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons has been so good to WGNA and the Capital Region through our High School Hunger Games, so we want to do everything we can to get the word out to help!

If you'd like to donate equipment or supplies, you may drop off at either Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons in Schenectady or Catholic High in Troy.
