Mechanicville School Under Shelter In Place Update
Updated Feb. 26 at 2:15 p.m. - The Shelter In Place announced just moments ago, has been discontinued.In the story from News 10 ABC, the threatening message, which was found in one of the High School's rooms was found about 12:45 p.m. That's when school officials called the Saratoga County Sheriff's Department, and activated the Shelter In Place.
School officials were given the ok to return to business as usual.
At this time, no one is allowed to enter or leave the Mechanicville Junior/Senior High School.
In a breaking news story from News 10 ABC, the school has been placed under a Shelter Place. There is no more information available at this time.
According to the Mechanicville Central School website, a non-specific threat was found to be written in the High School girls room.
The Saratoga County Sheriff's Department is conducting an investigation and the K-9 unit is also there as added security.
