Local Traffic Stop Lead To More Than Traffic Violation
A 30-year-old man from Clarksville was driving through Ravena on Route 9W when he was pulled over for a traffic infraction. While New York State Troopers were talking to Ryan J. McGrail, they smelled something from inside the vehicle and it wasn’t one of those pine tree air fresheners. The troopers said it was marijuana, so they decided to look a little bit further. Their search apparently lead to some pot and one other item - Metal knuckles.
According to the article in the Times Union, McGrail was arrested and remanded to the Albany County Jail. His charges included felony criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Apparently, it was discovered that McGrail had some other legal issues. He was accused of having a suspended driver’s license and also had two active bench warrants.
