Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization that’s been around for more than one hundred years, helping children all over the United States.

Locally, we have Big Brothers Big Sisters Of The Capital Region which helps children in the Albany area and all over the Capital Region. Their mission statement, which is on their website, states that they “provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever". Big Brothers Big Sisters has made a big difference in helping children and have made their live better. In most cases have even made life long relationships and friendships between the adult volunteers (called ‘Bigs’) and the children (called ‘Littles’).
