Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will help open Atlanta's brand-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium this fall. The country couple will have the honor of playing the first-ever concert at the new venue.

Brooks and Yearwood's Mercedes-Benz Stadium show is scheduled for Oct. 12. Brooks will headline, and Yearwood will act as his special guest, as she has at all of his World Tour stops.

“I’m thrilled to be back in Atlanta and honored to play the first concert in Mercedes-Benz Stadium,” says Brooks in a press release. “I’ve visited the stadium twice in the last month, and all I can say is -- the fans are going to love it; it’s truly one-of-a-kind.

"We’re going to create a special experience the fans will never forget," Brooks adds, "and I can’t wait to light that place up this fall!”

Tickets for Brooks and Yearwood's Mercedes-Benz Stadium concert are scheduled to go onsale on June 30 at 10AM ET. Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000.

Brooks and Yearwood are currently out on the road for his World Tour, which began in the fall of 2014. Atlanta's Philips Arena was Brooks' second stop on the trek, back in September of 2014.

Brooks has sold 5 million tickets (and counting) for his World Tour since it began in September of 2014. The singer has previously said that he will wrap up the North American leg of his World Tour this year, then look at touring overseas; however, he has announced plans to perform at the 2018 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, in Houston, Texas, as well.

In March, Brooks released “Ask Me How I Know” as the second single from his newest studio album, Gunslinger. The song was written by Mitch Rossell and follows Brooks’ first Gunslinger single, “Baby, Let’s Lay Down and Dance,” released in October.
