For about 30 minutes on Friday afternoon, Schenectady High School was evacuated.

A teacher that was using a lithium ion cell phone battery as part of an experiment, was accidentally punctured. When that happened, some smoke and foul smelling vapors were released. The Schenectady Fire Department responded after an alarm was activated.
