Elvira was more than a funny song from the Oak Ridge Boys. In her hey day you could walk into any convenience store, grocery store or bar and see a life size cut out of her at a Coors Light display.

I must have went to 35 or 40 costume contests sponsored bay various radio stations I was working for during that period and at every contest there was always a minimum of 10 women dressed like Elvira. Elvira was the "poster child" for Halloween, and without knowing it she even made breast augmentation a public topic in America.
