Drunk Woman Violated Leandra’s Law In East Geenbush

A 26-year-old woman that was driving a van in East Greenbush, when an East Greenbush Police Officer saw the van weaving on Troy Road.

Myranda Rai Tuner
East Greenbush Police Department

From a press release from the East Greenbush Police Department,on Friday night, the officer pulled the van over, which was being driven by Myranda Rai Tuner from Oswego, N.Y. When the officer approached the van, he saw two passengers. They were ages 2-years-old and 4-years-old, neither of them properly restrained in child protective seats. Children under aged of seven and younger are required by law to be in a child safety seat. They were Turner’s two children.

Turner was given several sobriety tests which she failed. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and two counts of Aggravated DWI, one count for each child. Other charges were driving with improperly restrained child passengers and driving while intoxicated with child passengers. After Turner’s arraignment, Child Protective Services took custody of the two children. They will be housed in a facility, temporarily.

Drunk driving is bad enough, but this woman had her kids with her. I don’t know about you, but I hope this idiot gets put away for a long time. I wonder how would’ve felt if she got into a serious accident and killed her own children.
