In the story from News 10 ABC, the woman took a donation box from the store and put it in her vehicle. Some very observant employees of the store saw what she did and reported it to store security. They contacted Glenville Police.

After an investigation, and questioning of the woman by the Glenville Police Department, it was discovered that she was picking up a donation box for a different charity which was approved by Walmart management. A conclusion was made that this was a big misunderstanding.
