Zac Brown Band was in the news a lot today.  Some more news on the band today.  Coy Bowles, a member of the band, has officially released a children’s book.  The story is called Amy Giggles, Laugh Out Loud.  Coy got the idea after meeting a woman at a dinner party who wouldn’t allow herself to laugh – she would just make weird noises.  The book is available the band's website.  A portion of the proceeds from sales will go to Camp Southern Ground in Fayette County, GA.  It’s a camp to help kids overcomes academic, social and emotional difficulties.

Boys of Rascal Flatts are gearing up for their winter tour, “Thaw Out 2012.”  The show kicks off in just a few weeks on January 12th and will, of course, be making a stop here in Albany, on January 26th.  The show will feature special guest Sara Evans and opener Hunter Hayes

And since we seem to be only talking about boy bands today, why not throw in the Eli Young Band.  They had a few things to say about their upcoming new song, “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.”  Despite it being new to us country music fans, it’s actually a song Mike says they fell in love with through another artist.  He says the song is very much like the sound of Tom Petty’s music and is from Will Hoge’s Wreckage record.  The song will hit radio airwaves on January 23rd

If you are big on Country Dance for Nintendo Wii, the second version is coming out and will include Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean and more.  Over 30 of today’s hottest country tracks are included on the calorie-burning game.  More details can be found at Game Mill.  Might not make a bad holiday gift for someone (hint-hint).
