Rumors are swirling that Jimmy Fallon will replace Jay Leno as host of “The Tonight Show” next year when his contract is up. So who will replace Fallon on “Late Night”? Some say it will be “The King Of All Media: Howard Stern”.

“The New York Post” is reporting that NBC is grooming Stern to take over “Late Night” and bringing him to “America’s Got Talent” last year proved Stern can be tamed for TV. The Post credits an anonymous source close to Stern with the leak.

There is no official word yet and there won’t be for a while.
