Genet School in East Greenbush, needs our help this week!

Last week, I started highlighting projects from local school teachers asking for our donations on donorschoose.org.   I love this site because it’s a resource for teachers to get funding for classroom supplies that are not funded by their school district.  AND it’s a way for us to donate to a local project we think is valuable! It’s a win win!
We all know, teaching isn't easy and budgets get cut year after year.  With Donorschoose.org, teachers now have a way to put new learning materials in their classrooms!  All they need is a little help!  You can help a teacher local or far away.  Whatever classroom project impacts you, you can donate to!

Each week I will highlight a local project seeking donations. You can check it out and make a donation if you want to, maybe your school is requesting something to better the education experience for our kids too.

This week, I am highlighting a project out of East Greenbush.  Ms. Csakany from Citizen Edmond Genet Elementary School is seeking $173 to help her kids grades 3-5.  She only needs $118 more.  Here is her story:

My Project

My students will use the book, "Hoot", during literature circles. I have many literature circles that run everyday. The books are selected based on a theme. "Hoot" will be a part of an animal theme. I want to utilize this book so my students have access to texts that are on their reading levels.

Spread the word, lets help get this project funded!
