Casino Resolution Passed By East Greenbush Town Board

It looks like East Greenbush is a step closer to getting a Las Vegas style casino.

On Thursday, support for the casino was given the thumbs up and the East Greenbush Town Board passed a resolution.

In the story from News 10 ABC, not all residents are happy about a casino possibly coming into their town. Some feel that there wasn’t enough say about the casino, while others like the idea of the jobs that will be created because of the casino.

The East Greenbush Town Supervisor, Keith Langley, believes that this would be an economic boom and provide tax relief for the town.

The planned area where the casino would be built is on Thompson Hill Road, just off of Route 4 and Exit 9 of I-90. Saratoga Casino And Raceway and Churchill Downs have partnered together for the $300 million dollar casino.
