Blake Shelton Hopes Dad Will Be Released From Hospital & More in Casey’s Taste of Country

Blake Shelton hopes his Dad will be released from the hospital and home later today. Dick Shelton was hospitalized this past Monday for pneumonia. Blake tweeted, “Thank you all for the prayers for my dad…Hoping he gets to go home Friday.” According to Country Weekly, Blake flew home right after the ACAs Monday night to be with his Dad.

Congratulations are in order for Kenny Chesney once again. Hemingway’s Whiskey has gone platinum. This is the 10^th album of Kenny’s to be certified platinum. That album, in case you are one of the few without a copy, includes “Boys of Fall,” “Somewhere With You,” and “You and Tequila.”

You’ll be able to catch Brad Paisley this weekend on CBS Sunday Morning. They’ll be joining Brad on the road. CBS’ Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer joined Brad earlier in the year on his tour and then also spent a day at his home in Franklin, TN. CBS Sunday Morning airs Sunday at 9am.
