I know there is a lot of hype about "Black Friday" and holiday shopping, you will get it from all angles this week. Many of you will scour the flyers and on line advertisements of some of your favorite stores and try to get a game plan up for shopping while you are enjoying that after dinner pie on Thanksgiving. Fortunately I found a really good article at Wallethub.com where they did all the research for us.
I love it when a reporter is trying to do a story and without wanting to, they actually BECOME the story. This video looks to be from the Australian version of The Today Show or Good Morning America. A reporter for the station was in Venice Beach California doing a news report on skateboarding,
I remember being at the Taste of Country Music Festival in Hunter Mountain last year when it was announced that Tim McGraw would be headlining in 2015, I couldn't believe it. Then we announced that Keith Urban would also be making the trip to our back yard! Wow. Well now another artist is about to be announced and it is ANOTHER superstar!
I was just reading an article about the sneaky little ways stores try to get you to spend your hard earned money. You would be amazed at the amount of time and research that goes into "neuromarketing."
It's true, you never know where life is going to take you. One day you are getting a degree at an Ivy league school, starting your life as a Doctor or Scientist and the next you are a TV star.
I'm sure most people know that Matt Damon was actually a student at Harvard when he wrote "Good Will Hunting" or that Jodie Foster went to Yale but there may be a few celebrity "brainiacs" out there that may surprise you
I have always wondered what it would be like if all the fireworks planned for a show just went off at once. Now I don't have to wonder anymore because a malfunction caused an entire fireworks display to go of at once in Italy. I should start be saying that while this was a total accident , no one was seriously hurt so really it was just a very big waste of time and money.
I admit it , one of my favorite things about the internet is the really adorable kids that find there way onto YouTube. For some its sports clips, others just can't get enough of the cats but for me it's kids. This girl and her reaction to the 1987 Alvin and The Chipmunks Movie just makes me feel human.
All you ever here about is the great savings you can get if you brave the crowds and go shopping on Black Friday, but according to Forbes and Savings.com Black Friday is not the best time to save on line or in the stores.

I should probably state in advance that yes, I am paid spokesperson for TrustCo Banks, you may have heard me talking about them on the air from time to time, but I would also like to state that they did not pay me to write this story. I legit think this is a really cool thing that will help communities and children throughout our area and I hope that by giving them some praise they will make it a long lasting project!
On Tuesday Trust Co Bank announced that they would be renovating local parks and they started with Quackenbush park in Schenectady.
