We are fortunate enough in the Albany, NY area to have a plethora of parks to enjoy. If you need some outdoor time other than the weekends, here are some great parks to spend your lunch break at.
Taylor Swift will be appearing at the 2012 Capital Hoedown Country Music Festival in Ottawa, Ontario and you could join her! Like us on Facebook and enter to win tickets to see Taylor Swift at the festival, plus a chance to meet her.
The final stop on our Small Town Tour with the Sean & Richie Show is in Schuylerville, NY at Mac's Diner. Settled by the Dutch and populated by the Schuyler family, this village has been around for many, many generations. The village is also a very historic place with a revolutionary war battle fought in the backyard, quite literally. Join us - map and directions after the jump.
Ahh - it's time for summer which means it's time to have a BBQ and friends over for a cookout. There are rules about grilling - but there are also lots of opinions too. Gas or charcoal? Hot dog or hamburger? Mustard or relish? So we ask - what do you think is the best way foods, condiments, and fuel for your BBQ to be a success. Take our polls after the jump.
Thanks for sharing your opinion! Have a safe Memorial Day weekend.
The third stop on the Small Town Tour is in Schoharie - which we know was devastated by Irene. We're proud to be here this morning as this community rebuilds. If you're like to join us this morning and show some support for a community that lost so much, driving directions are after the jump.
We are very fortunate in the Albany area to be blessed with some amazing natural features and outdoor destinations. It is very sad to hear that the The Nature Conservancy has made the poor decision to close the falls on the Poestenkill to the public.
Last weekend I grabbed two friends and headed to Adirondack Extreme. If you've never been or aren't sure what it is, the best way to find out is by going. If you love the outdoors and having fun, then you need to be familiar with this awesome course.
Memorial Day is the unofficial, but pretty much official start to summer. With that comes the start of camping season too. Camping is a great way to escape for a few days, it's family friendly, and it doesn't cost too much money either. We're excited for the start of the season and wanted to share some of our favorite places to camp that aren't too far of a drive from the Albany area. Just far enough away but not too far.
We're at our second stop for the Small Town Tour and the Victory Mills and this week the fire department benefits - not only are they hosting us but for only $7 you can have a great breakfast that helps benefit the fire department. Come out and meet the Sean & Richie show plus help out some local heros. Check out directions after the jump.
