It seems like a lot of younger people don’t know what they really want to do for a career. but we have something that can give them a choice that they might want to think about.

It’s Army ROTC, and there are many benefits to joining. Some of those benefits might direct them in the direction to go and help them decide what they may want to do for a job. Those benefits may even include a scholarship or tuition for college. Army ROTC can prepare students to be leaders. Like their website says, “Army ROTC teaches you how to lead. It’s one of the best leadership course in the country and part of it is your college curriculum.” This could be a very lucrative choice.

Another good thing about Army ROTC is there are several places around the Albany area that you can go to find out more and also sign up if you choose to take that path. Tomorrow morning (May 24), you can find lout more about Army ROTC from my guest on our public affairs show, Capital Region Sunday. I had the pleasure of talking to Michael Dengler. He’s an Enrollment Officer at Siena College in Loudonville, for Army ROTC, Mohawk Battalion. Michael also admits that “Army ROTC isn’t for everyone”, but it may be something that our younger listeners should check into.
