It seems like forever ago that we heard about the idea of the Albany Skyway. We heard that it was officially happening and a sketch and then nothing. Well, finally we have an update on where it stands and when we can expect construction.

Last night, there was a forum held at the Palace Theatre to discuss where everyone stands on the Albany Skyway and where they're going from here. Mayor Kathy Sheehan was in attendance as revised plans were revealed and residents were able to pitch their own ideas, according to News10.

Capitalize Albany received some money from Governor Cuomo and since then, they've been able to put actual dates on the skyway timeline. Residents were mostly concerned about the activities and amenities it would give them and their neighborhood. They were advised that it depends on the funds raised from here on out for the project and that it should begin construction in Fall 2019.

If you didn't know about this forum but still want to have an input on the upcoming Albany Skyway, you still have an opportunity online. You can still be a part of the conversation by filling out the form and discussing your opinions on this website.
