Albany Area Man Rolls His Vehicle In East Greenbush
Two people that were in a SUV when it overturned on Sunday, August 11, 2013, were not injured, according to a press release from the East Greenbush Police Department.
This happened around 5:00 p.m. The accident happened on Columbia Turnpike near Spare Time Lanes.
The driver, 33-year-old Joshua K. Raynor of Rensselaer told the police that he was traveling eastbound and his vehicle hit something and caused him to lose control. The vehicle crossed three lanes of traffic, the center lane and the sidewalk on the westbound side, rolling over several times.
An officer on the scene determined that Raynor had allegedly been drinking, and administered several sobriety tests which all tested positive for alcohol impairment. Raynor was cherged with DWI and Unsafe Lane Change.
There was no indication about why the abrupt turn made with the SUV.
